Walrus Material

A silly, happy little weekend project.

These photos were my main source of reference. Adding the tracks in the ground tied it all together a bit better. Later on I might try to pack the walruses together as tight as in the image, but I need to figure out a neat workaround for intersections.

I chose to make the pebbles and sand a bit warmer in their colours to get a bit more contrast and add to the playful feel.

There's obviously a limit to how much you can tilt the camera before the poor creatures start to look like they're melting, but I rather like the idea of the walruses being seen from the sky, captured by a drone, having some of them look up in curiosity.
