Learning Blender

I'm currently transferring over to using Blender and am following a couple of tutorials to find my footing. After doing the classical donut-tutorial with Andrew Price, I found Grant Abbits tutorial for sculpting a wee alien really helpful to settle into some light sculpting. I also tried adding some volumetric lighting and dust particles with a little help from Dale(links are down below). The next step is to learn retopologizing and unwrapping in Blender a bit better, I glossed over it in order to wrap this project up before starting the next chunk of tutorials.

Testing out some post effects in Gimp. I found the light settings for the point light in Blender a bit limiting, it was tricky to control the spread of the light and if it was cranked up along with the volumetric effect, things started to get very fuzzy.
